“No need. I am not handicapped.” Even though they had already done everything that there was, Cheng Huan still felt shy nevertheless. She waved her hand and weakly dismissed the man. “You go back upstairs to go to bed.”

Jiang MingYuan was not happy when he heard that. “I am not going anywhere.”

He could be chauvinistic sometimes. For example, he felt that Cheng Huan was very fragile right now so he just ignored her opinion and carried her over toward the bathroom.

Cheng Huan hesitated for two seconds before she nodded.

“I owe you an apology on that. I didn’t do a good job in protecting you.” Jiang MingYuan pulled her up, sat himself down, and had her sat on his thighs. “But I promise they will stop. So you don’t need to worry about what people are saying online or be upset or hurt from them. Most of the time they neither care about the truth nor stand behind their own words.”

Cheng Huan looked up slowly. Her lips oved and said, “You…”

“What?”

She thought about what she wanted to ask over and over again but finally wasn’t able to say them out loud. Cheng Huan never realized that she was such a chicken. Feeling defeated, she shook her head, “No, nothing.”

Having said that, she forced herself up and said, “I’ll go cook.”

Jiang MingYuan felt that something was off with her, as though there was something on her mind. XingXing was still here, however, so it was not the time to get down to the bottom of it. He stood up with her, stopped her from walking away and said, “Never mind that. Let’s go eat out.”

As much as Jiang MingYuan had tried, Cheng Huan still found out about the incident after three days.
