Jiang Qiuyi was not a regular of the high-end shops but would come occasionally to pick something up. The salespeople knew her but were not familiar with her. Naturally, they had no idea that she was Lu Mingcheng’s wife whom nobody had ever met.

The salesgirl walked up to her with a smile when she saw her.

“Miss Jiang.” The salesgirl smiled at her, “Are you here to pick something up?”

“No,” said Jiang Qiuyi.

She looked around and said nonchalantly, “I’ll just here to browse.”

The salesgirl nodded and followed next to her.

After having the authentic rice noodles, Jiang Qiuyi returned to her room and called up Jian Xia, her childhood friend.

“Hello?”

Jian Xia’s voice was a bit hoarse, obviously woken up by the call.

Jiang Qiuyi remained silent for a little while before she asked in a low voice, “Did you pull an all-nighter again?”

Jian Xia, “Oh.”

With her eyes closed, she said, “Yeah, I was writing dirty novels last night from my second account. Once I started, I couldn’t stop.”

It was early in the morning and Lu Mingcheng was getting ready in the bathroom when Jiang Qiuyi woke up.

She looked at the clock. It was exactly 7 AM.

Lu Mingcheng always had a very precise biological close. It didn’t matter what time he went to bed, he would always wake up at 6 AM the next morning, workout for an hour, and finished up getting around 7 AM.

In the past, Jiang Qiuyi would crawl out of bed immediately, iron his work clothes for him, and tidy his necktie for him.

She would take over all the work that a servant could do.

Jiang Qiuyi wanted to ask him about the project. If that was true as well, then she would believe that the story was real.

And that she was the wife who was about to be abandoned.

A man’s voice rang next to her ears all of a sudden.

“There’s something that you want to ask me?”

Jiang Qiuyi looked up. Lu Mingcheng’s eyes had opened up without her knowing.

“No, nothing.”

She paused for a little and said in a tender voice. “You look tired. Have you been working a lot lately?”

Jiang Qiuyi went to pick up Lu Mingcheng from the airport the next evening.

She had been doing that since she married Lu Mingcheng. She would always be at the airport to pick him up no matter how late his flight was.

She got out of the car and walked inside of the airport after she had arrived at the airport with their chauffeur.

Tis was winter time and it was quite cold at night.

Jiang Qiuyi had just walked to the arrival area when she spotted Lu Mingcheng walking out.

He was in his full suit and he was tall and handsome. He looked classy and calm.

Jiang Qiuyi was woken up from knocking on the door.

She opened up her eyes, stared at the chandelier for a little while before she asked, “What’s the matter?”

The servant, standing outside of the door, said to her, “Madam, Old Mrs. Lu and her friends are here.”

Jiang Qiuyi paused a little before she recalled that her mother-in-law had mentioned to her a couple of days ago that she would be bringing a few of her girlfriends over today for afternoon tea.

Thinking of that, she rubbed her throbbing temples and said, “Alright. I will be down shortly.”
